1CHR 21:1, And Satan stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel.
SAM 24:1, And again the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he moved David against them to say, Go, number Israel and Judah.
1CHR 21:1, And Satan stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel.
1SAM 21:3, Now therefore what is under thine hand? give me five loaves of bread in mine hand, or what there is present. 4 And the priest answered David, and said, There is no common bread under mine hand, but there is hallowed bread; if the young men have kept themselves at least from women. 5 And David answered the priest, and said unto him, Of a truth women have been kept from us about these three days, since I came out, and the vessels of the young men are holy, and the bread is in a manner common, yea, though it were sanctified this day in the vessel. 6 So the priest gave him hallowed bread: for there was no bread there but the shewbread, that was taken from before the LORD, to put hot bread in the day when it was taken away.
2SAM 11:14, And it came to pass in the morning, that David wrote a letter to Joab, and sent it by the hand of Uriah. 15 And he wrote in the letter, saying, Set ye Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle, and retire ye from him, that he may be smitten, and die. 16 And it came to pass, when Joab observed the city, that he assigned Uriah unto a place where he knew that valiant men were. 17 And the men of the city went out, and fought with Joab: and there fell some of the people of the servants of David; and Uriah the Hittite died also.
2SAM 24:10, And David's heart smote him after that he had numbered the people. And David said unto the LORD, I have sinned greatly in that I have done: and now, I beseech thee, O LORD, take away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly.
PSA 25:7, Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O LORD.

1KIN 15:5, Because David did that who was right in the eyes of the LORD, and turned not aside from any thing that he commanded him all the days of his life, save only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.
2SAM 22:22, For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.

PSA 7:8 ... judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, and according to
mine integrity that is in me.
PSA 143:2, And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified.
1CHR 21:25, So David gave to Ornan* for the place six hundred shekels of
gold by weight. (KJV)
2SAM 24:24, And the king said unto Araunah*, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver. (KJV)
*This contradiction assumes that Ornan and Araunah were one and the same person. - p.b.
2SAM 6:6-7, And when they came to Nachon's
threshingfloor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God, and took
hold of it; for the oxen shook it. And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzzah;
and God smote him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God.
1CHR 13:9-10, And when they came unto the threshingfloor of Chidon, Uzza put forth his hand to hold the ark; for the oxen stumbled. And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzza, and he smote him, because he put his hand to the ark: and there he died before God.
1SAM 21:1, Then came David to Nob to Ahimelech
the priest: and Ahimelech was afraid at the meeting of David, and said
unto him, Why art thou alone,
and no man with thee? ... 3 Now therefore what is under thine
hand? give me five loaves of bread in mine hand, or what there is present.
MAR 2:25, And he said unto them, Have ye never read what David did, when he had need, and was an hungred, he, and they that were with him ? 26 How he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and did eat the shewbread, which is not lawful to eat but for the priests, and gave also to them which were with him?

2SAM 8:3-4, David smote also Hadadezer, the son of Rehob, king of Zobah,
as he went to recover his border at the river Euphrates. And David
took from him a thousand chariots, and seven hundred
horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: and David houghed all the
chariot horses, but reserved of them for an hundred chariots.
1CHR 18:3-4, And David smote Hadarezer king of Zobah unto Hamath, as he went to stablish his dominion by the river Euphrates. And David took from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen and twenty thousand footmen: David also houghed all the chariot horses, but reserved of them an hundred chariots.
2SAM 8:13 And David gat him a name when he returned from smiting of the
Syrians in the valley of salt, being eighteen thousand men.
PSA 60:1 <<To the chief Musician upon Shushaneduth, Michtam of David, to teach; when he strove with Aramnaharaim and with Aramzobah, when Joab returned, and smote of Edom in the valley of salt twelve thousand.>>
PSA 60:1, <<To the chief Musician upon Shushaneduth, Michtam
of David, to teach; when he strove with Aramnaharaim and with Aramzobah,
when Joab returned, and smote of Edom in the valley of salt twelve thousand.>>
1CHR 18:12 Moreover Abishai the son of Zeruiah slew of the Edomites in the valley of salt eighteen thousand.
1CHR 19:6, And when the children of Ammon saw that they had made
themselves odious to David, Hanun and the children of Ammon sent a
thousand talents of silver to hire them chariots and horsemen out of
Mesopotamia, and out of Syriamaachah, and out of Zobah. 7 So they
hired thirty and two thousand
chariots, and the king of Maachah and his people; who came and
pitched before Medeba. And the children of Ammon gathered themselves
together from their cities, and came to battle.
2SAM 10:6, And when the children of Ammon saw that they stank before David, the children of Ammon sent and hired the Syrians of Bethrehob, and the Syrians of Zoba, twenty thousand footmen, and of king Maacah a thousand men, and of Ishtob twelve thousand men.
2SAM 10:18, And the Syrians fled before Israel; and David slew the men of
seven hundred chariots of the Syrians,
and forty thousand horsemen,
and smote Shobach the captain of their host, who died there.
1CHR 19:18, But the Syrians fled before Israel; and David slew of the Syrians seven thousand men which fought in chariots, and forty thousand footmen, and killed Shophach the captain of the host.
2SAM 24:9, And Joab gave up the sum of the number of the people unto the
king: and there were in Israel eight hundred thousand
valiant men that drew the sword; and the men of Judah were five
hundred thousand men.
1CHR 21:5, And Joab gave the sum of the number of the people unto David. And all they of Israel were a thousand thousand and an hundred thousand men that drew sword: and Judah was four hundred threescore and ten thousand men that drew sword.
2SAM 24:12-13, Go and say unto David, Thus saith the LORD, I offer thee
three things; choose thee one of them, that I may do it unto thee. So
Gad came to David, and told him, and said unto him, Shall seven
years of famine come
unto thee in thy land? or wilt thou flee three months before thine
enemies, while they pursue thee? or that there be three days'
pestilence in thy land? now advise, and see what answer I shall return to him that sent me.
1CHR 21:11-12, So Gad came to David, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Choose thee either three years' famine; or three months to be destroyed before thy foes, while that the sword of thine enemies overtaketh thee; or else three days the sword of the LORD, even the pestilence, in the land, and the angel of the LORD destroying throughout all the coasts of Israel. Now therefore advise thyself what word I shall bring again to him that sent me.
2SAM 5:2, Also in time past, when Saul was king over us ... 3 ... and they anointed David king over Israel. 4 David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty* years. 5 In Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months: and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty and three years over all Israel and Judah.
1KIN 2:10, So David slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David. 11 And the days that David reigned over Israel were forty years: seven years reigned he in Hebron, and thirty and three years reigned he in Jerusalem.
* If David reigned forty years, then Absalom must have rebelled against him in less than forty, because David was king when Absalom rebelled.
2SAM 5:2, Also in time past, when Saul was king over us ... 3 ... and they anointed David king over Israel.
2SAM 6:10, So David would not remove the ark of the LORD unto him into the city of David: but David carried it aside into the house of Obededom the Gittite. 11 And the ark of the LORD continued in the house of Obededom the Gittite three months:
2SAM 13:23, And it came to pass after two full years, that Absalom had sheepshearers in Baalhazor, which is beside Ephraim: and Absalom invited all the king's sons. ... 38 So Absalom fled, and went to Geshur, and was there three years.
2SAM 14:28, So Absalom dwelt two full years in Jerusalem, and saw not the king's face.
2SAM 15:7, And it came to pass after forty years, that Absalom said unto the king, I pray thee, let me go and pay my vow, which I have vowed unto the LORD, in Hebron.
2SAM 21:1, Then there was a famine in the days of David three years,
2SAM 24:8, So when they had gone through all the land, they came to Jerusalem at the end of nine months and twenty days. ... 10 And David's heart smote him after that he had numbered the people. And David said unto the LORD, I have sinned greatly in that I have done.
1KIN 6:1, And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after
the children of Israel were come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's
reign over Israel, in the month Zif, which is the second month, that he
began to build the house of the LORD.
ACT 13:17, The God of this people of Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the people when they dwelt as strangers in the land of Egypt, and with an high arm brought he them out of it. 18 And about the time of forty years suffered he their manners in the wilderness ... 20 And after that he gave unto them judges about the space of four hundred and fifty years, until Samuel the prophet. 21 And afterward they desired a king: and God gave unto them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years . 22 And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.
1CHR 29:26, Thus David the son of Jesse reigned over all Israel. And the time that he reigned over Israel was forty years; seven years reigned he in Hebron, and thirty and three years reigned he in Jerusalem.
[NOTE: 40 yrs. in the desert, + 450 yrs. of judges, + 40 yrs. of Saul, + 40 yrs. of David = 570 years. - p.b.]
1KIN 3:12, Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I
have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like
thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.
1KIN 11:1-4, But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites; Of the nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love. And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart. For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.
1KIN 11:1, But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with
the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites,
Zidonians, and Hittites; ... 3 And he had seven hundred wives,
princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart.
SON 6:8, There are threescore queens, and fourscore concubines, and virgins without number.
JUDG 18:31 And they set them up Micah's graven image, which he made, all the time that the house of God was in Shiloh. 19:1 And it came to pass in those days, when there was no king in Israel,
1SAM 1:9, Now Eli the priest sat upon a seat by a post of the temple of the LORD. ... 20 1:20 ... Hannah had conceived, that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, ....
1SAM 3:3 And ere the lamp of God went out in the temple of the LORD,
where the ark of God was, and Samuel was laid down to sleep;
1CHR 28:2 Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people: As for me, I had in mine heart to build an house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and for the footstool of our God, and had made ready for the building: 3 But God said unto me, Thou shalt not build an house for my name, because thou hast been a man of war, and hast shed blood. ... 6 And he said unto me, Solomon thy son, he shall build my house and my courts: for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father.
1KIN 6:14 So Solomon built the house, and finished it.
1KIN 7:2 He built also the house of the forest of Lebanon; the
length thereof was an hundred cubits, and the breadth thereof fifty
cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits, upon four rows of cedar
pillars, with cedar beams upon the pillars.…
2CHR 3:3 Now these are the things wherein Solomon was instructed for the building of the house of God. The length by cubits after the first measure was threescore cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.
1KIN 7:15 For he cast two pillars of brass, of eighteen cubits high
apiece: and a line of twelve cubits did compass either of them about.
2CHR 3:15 Also he made before the house two pillars of thirty and five cubits high, ....
1KIN 7:16 And he made two chapiters of molten brass, to set upon the tops
of the pillars: the height of the one chapiter was five
cubits, and the height of the other chapiter was five cubits:
2KIN 25:17 The height of the one pillar was eighteen cubits, and the chapiter upon it was brass: and the height of the chapiter three cubits; and the wreathen work, and pomegranates upon the chapiter round about, all of brass: and like unto these had the second pillar with wreathen work.
