1KIN 7:24 And under the brim of it round about there were knops compassing it, ten in a cubit, compassing the sea round about: the knops* were cast in two rows, when it was cast. 25 It stood upon twelve oxen ... 26, And it was an hand breadth thick, and the brim thereof was wrought like the brim of a cup, with flowers of lilies: it contained two thousand baths.

215. Solomon's payment to Hiram was wheat and oil / barley, wine and oil.

1KIN 5:11 And Solomon gave Hiram twenty thousand measures of wheat for food to his household, and twenty measures of pure oil: thus gave Solomon to Hiram year by year.

216. Hiram sent Solomon 420 / 450 talents of gold. [H, 383]

1KIN 9:28, And they came to Ophir, and fetched from thence gold, four hundred and twenty talents, and brought it to king Solomon.

217. Solomon's metalworker was from the tribe of Naphtali / Dan. [H, 339]

1KIN 7:13-14, And king Solomon sent and fetched Hiram out of Tyre. He was a widow's son of the tribe of Naphtali, and his father was a man of Tyre, a worker in brass: and he was filled with wisdom, and understanding, and cunning to work all works in brass. And he came to king Solomon, and wrought all his work.

218. Solomon's temple sacrifices could not / could be counted.

1KIN 8:5 And king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel, that were assembled unto him, were with him before the ark, sacrificing sheep and oxen, that could not be told nor numbered for multitude.

1KIN 5:16, Beside the chief of Solomon's officers which were over the work, three thousand and three hundred, which ruled over the people that wrought in the work.

1KIN 9:23, These were the chief of the officers that were over Solomon's work, five hundred and fifty, which bare rule over the people that wrought in the work.

221. Solomon had 40,000 / 4,000 horse stalls. [H, 383]

1KIN 4:26, And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.

222. God did / did not tell Solomon he chose Jerusalem.

2CHR 6:5 Since the day that I brought forth my people out of the land of Egypt I chose no city among all the tribes of Israel to build an house in, that my name might be there; neither chose I any man to be a ruler over my people Israel: 6 But I have chosen Jerusalem, that my name might be there; and have chosen David to be over my people Israel.

223. King Abijam (Abijah) did / did not please the Lord. [H, 317]

And there was war between Abijah and Jeroboam. ... 15 ... it came to pass, that God smote Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah. 16 And the children of Israel fled before Judah: and God delivered them into their hand. 17 And Abijah and his people slew them with a great slaughter: so there fell down slain of Israel five hundred thousand chosen men. ... 20 Neither did Jeroboam recover strength again in the days of Abijah: and the LORD struck him, and he died. 21 But Abijah waxed mighty, and married fourteen wives, and begat twenty and two sons, and sixteen daughters. 22 And the rest of the acts of Abijah, and his ways, and his sayings, are written in the story of the prophet Iddo.

2CHR 14:1 So Abijah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David....

1KIN 16:8, In the twenty and sixth year of Asa king of Judah began Elah the son of Baasha to reign over Israel in Tirzah, two years.

225. Omri reigned 12 / 7 years.

1KIN 16:23, In the thirty and first year of Asa king of Judah began Omri to reign over Israel, twelve years: six years reigned he in Tirzah.

And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah? ... 15 And the LORD said unto him, Go, return on thy way to the wilderness of Damascus: and when thou comest, anoint Hazael to be king over Syria: 16 And Jehu the son of Nimshi shalt thou anoint to be king over Israel: and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abelmeholah shalt thou anoint to be prophet in thy room.

And Elisha answered, The LORD hath shewed me that thou shalt be king over Syria. 14 So he departed from Elisha, and came to his master; who said to him, What said Elisha to thee? And he answered, He told me that thou shouldest surely recover. 15 And it came to pass on the morrow, that he took a thick cloth, and dipped it in water, and spread it on his face, so that he died: and Hazael reigned in his stead.

2KIN 9:1 And Elisha the prophet called one of the children of the prophets, and said unto him, Gird up thy loins, and take this box of oil in thine hand, and go to Ramothgilead: 2 And when thou comest thither, look out there Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi, and go in, and make him arise up from among his brethren, and carry him to an inner chamber; 3 Then take the box of oil, and pour it on his head, and say, Thus saith the LORD, I have anointed thee king over Israel. Then open the door, and flee, and tarry not.

 

 

228. Elisha got Elijah's mantle before / after Elijah went to heaven.

1KIN 19:19, So he departed thence, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth: and Elijah passed by him, and cast his mantle upon him... 21 Then he arose, and went after Elijah, and ministered unto him.

230. Jehu killed Ahaziah's brethren / brethren's sons. [H, 319]

2KIN 10:13 Jehu met with the brethren of Ahaziah king of Judah, and said, Who are ye? And they answered, We are the brethren of Ahaziah; and we go down to salute the children of the king and the children of the queen. 14 And he said, Take them alive. And they took them alive, and slew them at the pit of the shearing house, even two and forty men; neither left he any of them.

2CHR 22:8 And it came to pass, that, when Jehu was executing judgment upon the house of Ahab, and found the princes of Judah, and the sons of the brethren of Ahaziah, that ministered to Ahaziah, he slew them.

 

 

231. God approved / punished Jehu for the killings at Jezreel.

2KIN 10:30, And the LORD said unto Jehu, Because thou hast done well in executing that which is right in mine eyes, and hast done unto the house of Ahab according to all that was in mine heart, thy children of the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel.

232. Asa was / was not perfect.

1KIN 15:14 But the high places were not removed: nevertheless Asa's heart was perfect with the LORD all his days.

2CHR 15:17 But the high places were not taken away out of Israel: nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect all his days.

2CHR 16:7, And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him, Because thou hast relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on the LORD thy God, therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped out of thine hand.

2CHR 16:10, Then Asa was wroth with the seer, and put him in a prison house; for he was in a rage with him because of this thing. And Asa oppressed some of the people thesame time.

2CHR 16:12, And Asa in the thirty and ninth year of his reign was diseased in his feet, until his disease was exceeding great: yet in his disease he sought not to the LORD, but to the physicians.

 

 

233. Asa did / did not remove the high places. [H, 323]

2CHR 14:2-3, And Asa did that which was good and right in the eyes of the LORD his God: For he took away the altars of the strange gods, and the high places, and brake down the images, and cut down the groves:
