(The following citations are from the KJV, except as noted.)

JER 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee....

EXO 21:22 "When men have a fight and hurt a pregnant woman, so that she suffers a miscarriage, but no further injury, the guilty one shall be fined as much as the woman's husband demands of him, and he shall pay in the presence of judges. 23 But if injury ensues, you shall give life for life," (NAB)*

EXO 21:22 "If men quarrel, and one strike a woman with child, and she miscarry indeed, but live herself: he shall be answerable for so much damage as the woman's husband shall require, and as arbiters shall award. 23 But if her death ensue thereupon, he shall render life for life." (Douay-Rheims)*

EXO 21:22 "Now if two men fight and strike a pregnant woman and her child comes forth not fully formed, he shall be punished with a fine. According as the husband of the woman might impose, he shall pay with judicial assessment. 23 But if it is fully formed, he shall pay life for life." (LXX)*

EXO 21:22 "When men fight, and one of them pushes a pregnant woman and a miscarriage results, but no other damage ensues, the one responsible shall be fined according as the woman's husband shall exact from him, the payment to be based on reckoning. But if other damage ensues, the penalty shall be life for life,...." (TAN)

GEN 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

EZE 37:9 ... Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live. 10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.

GEN 38:24 ... that it was told Judah, saying, Tamar thy daughter in law hath played the harlot; and also, behold, she is with child by whoredom. And Judah said, Bring her forth, and let her be burnt.

LEV 27:2 ... the persons shall be for the LORD by thy estimation. ... 6 And if it be from a month old even unto five years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male five shekels of silver, and for the female thy estimation shall be three shekels of silver.

NUM 3:15 Number the children of Levi after the house of their fathers, by their families: every male from a month old and upward shalt thou number them.

* The Douay-Rheims version is an English translation of the Latin Vulgate, which was the RCC's official Bible for centuries. That version makes it clear, as the NAB does not, that the death penalty was reserved for cases in which the mother died. If the fetus died and the mother lived, the penalty was a fine only. The newer RCC Bible, the NAB, muddles this issue by substituting the vague "injury" for "her death." Professor Kugel corroborates this difference in his book (p.267). The LXX, an ancient Bible still used by Eastern Orthodox churches, and the Jewish Tanakh also make the distinction clear.

910. The human lifespan is 70 / 120 / hundreds of years. [B, 138; H, 424]

PSA 90:10 The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
----------------------------
GEN 6:3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.*
----------------------------
GEN 11:11 And Shem lived after he begat Arphaxad five hundred years, ... 13 And Arphaxad lived after he begat Salah four hundred and three years, ... 15 And Salah lived after he begat Eber four hundred and three years, .... [etc.]

* An apologist says that in Genesis 6:3, "God was making a prophecy about the future, not setting the limit at that moment. The verse says that man's days 'shall be' 120 years, not that they already are." It's true that lives got shorter after the flood. However, many generations later, Moses' ancestors still exceeded 120 years: Levi, 137; Kohath, 133; Amram (Moses' father), 137. Also, Phinehas, Aaron's grandson, lived approx. 450 yrs. (see EXO 6:25 & JUDG 20:28). - p.b.
